This full-time contract position focuses on supporting a diverse K-12 population as a Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The preferred candidate will bring a background in speech-language pathology and relevant healthcare, school, or pediatric experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC/CFY)
- Experience in schools, pediatrics, teletherapy, or healthcare settings
- SLPA experience in schools or healthcare welcomed
- Skilled in supporting children with diverse learning and communication needs
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to upholding individualized educational plans (IEPs) and best practices in special education
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions to students in K-12 settings
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with speech-language professionals and support staff to foster students’ academic and communication growth
- Document student progress and maintain appropriate records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and help with parent communications
- Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs and offer a supportive, inclusive environment
- Remain apprised of new developments in special education and speech-language services
