Special Education Teacher in Brownsburg, IN

Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting students with diverse needs as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract position focuses on serving an intermediate life skills classroom, working alongside two dedicated paraprofessionals with a group of nine students. The role is onsite and provides valuable stability over the full school year, running September to June.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver engaging instruction and individualized support to students in a life skills classroom, adapting lessons for a multi-categorical caseload
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with state standards
• Communicate with families, staff, and related service providers to support student success
• Actively participate in team meetings, staff development, and compliance activities
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for IN
• Experience in life skills or multi-categorical special education settings preferred
• Strong ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
