Job Description

Job Description

An exceptional contract opportunity awaits a physical therapist interested in working within a school environment on a part-time basis. This role supports three students—a kindergartener, a 5th grader, and a 6th grader—from August 17 through May 20. The expected schedule is roughly three hours per week, including both direct and indirect therapy services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Physical Therapist licensure required
  • Current NMPED license mandatory
  • Previous experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
  • Strong communication, time management, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized physical therapy services in line with each student’s IEP or 504 plan
  • Assess, develop, and adjust therapy goals based on ongoing student progress
  • Provide thorough reports on therapy sessions and progress
  • Consult regularly with teachers, staff, and parents to promote student success in the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
  • Attend scheduled team meetings as needed and participate in IEP planning

This position offers an excellent way to make a direct impact on students’ lives while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule. The weekly time commitment is ideal for those seeking to supplement their current caseload or who are interested in a rewarding yet less-than-full-time school-based setting.

Take the next step in your career and help students reach their fullest potential. Apply today to make a difference in a supportive school environment!
