Special Education Teacher - Montpelier, VT

What We’re Looking For:

• Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher meeting all State requirements (non-negotiable)
• Experience working with diverse student populations in either elementary or middle school settings
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and adaptive learning environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, specialists, and families
• Passion for encouraging student independence and growth

Your Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized instruction in alignment with each student’s IEP goals
• Conduct assessments, track progress, and communicate results to families and colleagues
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service staff
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to accommodate unique student needs
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education services
• Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and ongoing professional development
