This contract opportunity offers two positions for the 2026-27 school year: one at the middle school level and one within the elementary setting, both vital roles that provide impactful services to students with diverse learning needs. Both positions are fully on-site and require dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher (required).
- Demonstrated experience working with middle or elementary school students in a special education setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Outstanding communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and administrators.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
- Professional, flexible, and eager to foster growth for every learner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to ensure academic and social-emotional progress for students with varying abilities.
- Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation to inform instructional strategies and student progress.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate proactively with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
- Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development sessions.
- Establish a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
