Special Education Teacher | Liberty, Missouri

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials appropriate to high school level
• Prior experience with Essential Life Skills or similar programs strongly preferred

• Strong collaboration skills working with general education staff, families, and support personnel

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily instruction for high schoolers focused on Essential Life Skills in an onsite classroom setting
• Adapt learning materials and instructional strategies to accommodate individual needs and IEP goals
• Monitor and document student progress, participating in IEP meetings and transition planning
• Foster a supportive and safe learning atmosphere that encourages growth and independence
• Maintain communication with parents, team members, and administrators to ensure effective student support
• Uphold compliance with district, state, and federal requirements relevant to special education

This position offers the stability of a long-term contract through May 2027, with 37.5 hours per week on a consistent daytime schedule.
