Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required—no bachelor’s degrees accepted
  • Valid Michigan LARA license (see link for requirements)
  • One of the following is necessary:
    • Licensed master’s level psychologist or social worker (school or general)
    • Limited licensed master’s level psychologist/social worker (with supervision)
    • MDE-credentialed master’s school psychologist
    • Licensed master’s marriage and family therapist
    • Licensed master’s professional counselor (or limited, with appropriate supervision)
    • Michigan School Counselor License, teaching certificate with school counselor endorsement, or appropriate temporary/preliminary counseling credentials (with pathway to licensure)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group social-emotional support to elementary students
  • Collaborate on school-wide mental health and behavior initiatives
  • Provide professional learning and staff support
  • Adapt to building needs and work within multidisciplinary teams
