Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience delivering therapy within K-12 school settings is highly valued
- Strong communication abilities—both written and verbal
- Commitment to cultural competence, equity, and student-centered care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, identifying needs and documenting results
- Develop tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and set measurable therapy goals
- Deliver evidence-based interventions addressing articulation, fluency, language, and social pragmatic skills
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to facilitate students’ progress
- Regularly document therapy sessions, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for student success
- Provide education and resources to families and staff regarding speech-language disorders
