Qualifications:
- Valid Adapted Curriculum K-12 license
- General Curriculum K-12 license required if you have experience in self-contained classrooms and are comfortable managing behavioral needs
- Provisional licenses are not accepted; please confirm current Virginia Department of Education credentials
- Experience working with elementary students, especially those requiring significant behavioral and academic interventions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction addressing both academic and behavioral goals for elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with other educators, staff, and families to support student growth
- Manage classroom environments that support positive behavior and academic achievement
- Participate in panel-style remote interviews and be ready for a quick hiring process
- Attend any orientation or training sessions as required by the district
