Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials, meeting all state certification requirements
- Experience working with diverse student populations and adapting instructional methods to individual learning needs
- Strong ability to collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Commitment to in-person instruction; virtual positions are not available for this role
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to students with varying disabilities, following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress, modify instructional plans, and participate in IEP meetings
- Implement evidence-based strategies to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Engage with families and staff to create an inclusive, positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate and timely records as required by the district and state regulations
Contract Details:
- Full-time, in-person positions—37.5 hours per week
- Term runs from August 28, 2026, to June 18, 2027
- Two separate openings: one at the middle school level, one at the elementary level
