Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students through a part-time contract Occupational Therapy assignment in a vibrant school-based environment. This position covers medical leave for approximately 6-8 weeks, with the current assignment scheduled through October 31st and the potential for an extension. The role is ideal for those with a passion for empowering students of varying abilities while maintaining a flexible schedule—just two days a week.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school settings.
  • Background in healthcare, home health, or teletherapy as it relates to pediatric or educational populations.
  • Understanding of IEP processes and ability to collaborate on educational plans.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Well-versed in documentation and reporting for educational and therapeutic progress.
  • Adaptable, organized, and able to navigate both in-person and remote service delivery as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students identified with needs, both in individual and group formats.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff to develop and update goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and ongoing therapy sessions.
  • Offer consultation and support to teachers and school staff on strategies that promote student engagement and participation.
  • Adapt therapy approaches to suit school-based and home health or teletherapy models as required.
