Job Description
Enhance student mobility and support their academic success as a part-time physical therapist! This is an exciting contract opportunity near Corona, NY, beginning September 2, 2026, and continuing through June 25, 2027. You’ll have the chance to work with middle and high school students in a supportive educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license and certification.
- Experience in school-based pediatric physical therapy preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering positive outcomes for students with diverse needs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments and interventions for students, focusing on maximizing mobility and participation within the school environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate regularly with multidisciplinary teams to promote holistic student care.
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and updates in accordance with school protocols.
- Offer guidance and training to school personnel and families on student mobility and adaptive strategies, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
