Step into a dynamic elementary school environment near Providence, RI, where your expertise as a School Psychologist will make a meaningful difference in students' lives. This contract role, starting as soon as possible and running through mid-July, offers a great opportunity to work closely with elementary-aged children, providing essential psychological services and collaborating with a dedicated educational community. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours across five days each week, you'll have the chance to support the development and wellbeing of young learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RI Psych credential required
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Organization and adaptability to varying caseload sizes and needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs and recommend effective supports
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and intervention plans
  • Deliver counseling services to individual students or groups, focusing on academic, emotional, and behavioral growth
  • Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and crisis intervention processes
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation for case management and compliance
