Job Description
Step into a rewarding role providing essential speech-language services to students across a dynamic school setting. As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding your CCC, you'll make a meaningful impact on young learners while enjoying a structured, collaborative educational environment.
This contract opportunity offers a consistent 40-hour work week across the academic year, with approximately 175 working days. You'll manage a caseload of about 45 students, delivering high-quality support primarily in the Lonsdale area, with some occasional coverage needed in Montgomery. The schedule aligns with the school calendar—workshop week begins August 31, and students return September 10.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Licensure to practice as an SLP in Minnesota (or eligibility)
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other school professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload of students
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver services aligned with school-based OT programs and IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and parents on student progress and strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student services and progress notes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development throughout the school year
