Job Description
Step into an exciting contract opportunity delivering speech-language services in a vibrant educational setting. You'll provide both therapy and evaluations while collaborating with supportive multidisciplinary teams. With manageable caseloads that never exceed 60 students, your expertise will help foster communication, learning, and growth among the students you serve. Multiple positions are open, with placements across a range of elementary and magnet schools in the Millbrook, AL area.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active or pending Alabama ASHA Certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Eligible for the Alabama Educator SLP Certificate (can begin with pending certification)
- Experience in school-based therapy preferred, including both therapeutic intervention and evaluation
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work across multiple campuses as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy and conduct evaluations for a diverse student population
- Effectively manage and prioritize a caseload of up to 60 students
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support academic achievement and student IEPs
- Maintain detailed and timely records, reports, and documentation in accordance with school, state, and federal requirements
- Attend IEP meetings, participate in staff professional development, and contribute to the positive culture of each assigned school
This contract position offers consistent hours (37.5 per week) through late May 2027, providing stability and the chance to make a lasting impact in the community.
