Occupational Therapist School Setting in Ilfeld, NM

Required Skills and Experience:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience delivering OT services in a school setting strongly preferred
• Proficient in assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized student therapy plans
• Skilled at collaborating with educators, families, and other support professionals
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to be onsite for scheduled sessions throughout the school year

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments tailored to each student's educational needs
• Develop and execute Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in partnership with the educational team
• Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students on your caseload
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation on student progress and services provided
• Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations to maximize student outcomes
• Support teachers and staff with strategies to integrate OT interventions within classroom routines
• Adapt equipment and materials to facilitate student engagement and independence
