Whether your interests lie in short-term assignments covering leaves of absence or a full-year, part-time engagement, there are four distinct roles available serving students with special education needs—including those in Setting IV environments.

Open Positions—please indicate which role(s) you’re applying for:

  • Position 1—Leave Coverage: August 31 through approximately November 13, North Education Center; 4 days/week, 32 hours supporting students receiving Setting IV special education services.
  • Position 2—Leave Coverage: September 21 through January 4 (winter break off), South Education Center; 5 days/week, 40 hours serving students in Setting IV programs.
  • Position 3—Full School Year (Part-Time): 20 hours/week across split locations including the south metro and Ann Bremmer Education Center; supporting a mix of special education placements, including full Setting IV.
  • Position 4—Full-Time, Pending Confirmation: Awaiting final district approval; full-time schedule expected.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license for Minnesota
  • Direct experience in school-based OT settings
  • Ability to navigate varied special education service models (including Setting IV)
  • Reliable transportation to access multiple locations if required
  • Clear record from previous assignments; strong professional references
  • Successful completion of onboarding, district background check, and all credentialing steps
  • Flexible, collaborative mindset to work within school calendars and assignment lengths

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted therapy interventions according to student IEPs
  • Collaborate with special education teams and educators to maximize student outcomes
  • Document and report on progress, maintaining compliance with district and legal requirements
  • Engage with families as appropriate to support student success
