Job Description
A rewarding contract opportunity has opened up for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make a positive difference in a school environment. This role, covering a maternity leave, offers a dynamic and supportive atmosphere for experienced SLPs or recent graduates seeking their CFY. The assignment will run from August 19th through the end of October and provides full-time hours. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility in Illinois)
- Ability to support and manage a pediatric caseload with diverse needs
- Prior experience within schools, pediatrics, teletherapy, or healthcare settings preferred
- Confidence in working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Open to accepting those pursuing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic speech and language services to students according to IEP requirements
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each student's unique needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Conduct screening and evaluations as necessary, documenting progress and maintaining records
- Engage in IEP meetings and support the school’s special education process
- Adapt to various modes of service, including in-person and teletherapy as needed
