Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting students in grades K-6 at a welcoming elementary school near Waitsfield, VT. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, to June 15, 2027. As a School Psychologist, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference each day, working closely with staff, students, and families to promote growth and student well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with K-6 students preferred
  • Solid understanding of special education law and foundational behavioral and cognitive theories
  • Skilled in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative school psychology services to K-6 students
  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret data for eligibility and program planning
  • Complete timely, accurate evaluations and document findings for multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Offer expertise in social-emotional and behavioral interventions, and participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Contribute to the positive, nurturing climate of a small elementary school community
