Job Description
Step into an impactful role supporting students in grades K-6 at a welcoming elementary school near Waitsfield, VT. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, to June 15, 2027. As a School Psychologist, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference each day, working closely with staff, students, and families to promote growth and student well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-6 students preferred
- Solid understanding of special education law and foundational behavioral and cognitive theories
- Skilled in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative school psychology services to K-6 students
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret data for eligibility and program planning
- Complete timely, accurate evaluations and document findings for multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
- Offer expertise in social-emotional and behavioral interventions, and participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Contribute to the positive, nurturing climate of a small elementary school community
