Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Assignment: 13-Week Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Retail Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead daily pharmacy operations in Prophetstown, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with prior leadership or management experience who is interested in a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for a permanent position.

The Pharmacist in Charge will oversee pharmacy operations, support and develop pharmacy staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain a safe and efficient workflow focused on quality patient care.

Travel pharmacists may also be considered while we continue our search for a local candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Supervise, train, and support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and patient safety
  • Manage medication inventory, controlled substances, and pharmacy records
  • Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding medication-related concerns and patient care
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy workflow
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the pharmacy team to support operational and patient care goals

Qualifications

  • Active and clear Illinois Pharmacist license required
  • Previous Pharmacist-in-Charge, management, or pharmacy leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage workflow and support a pharmacy team
