Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current or eligible Connecticut state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred, will consider Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
  • School-based SLP experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, voice, and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to high school students’ needs
  • Track student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports
  • Offer consultative support to other staff to reinforce language strategies throughout the school day
  • Engage students in activities that foster communication development in both academic and social contexts
