Job Description
Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and mobility needs in an educational setting near Santee, CA. This role is ideal for a dedicated Physical Therapist seeking a part-time position working 1–2 days per week, totaling approximately 10–12 hours. You'll play an important part in helping school-aged children achieve their physical therapy goals over the full academic year, with the specific caseload determined upon placement.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in California
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based settings
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaborative skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment
- Ability to develop and modify individualized therapy plans
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted physical therapy services to students based on IEP goals and evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate strategies throughout the school day
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, progress, and communication
- Adapt and adjust goals as needed per student progress and team input
- Serve as a resource for school staff regarding safe movement, equipment use, and student access
