We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join a team in New York on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This fully onsite role focuses on creating a smooth and organized experience for new employees by supporting onboarding administration, onboarding activities, and orientation delivery. The position also plays an important part in maintaining accurate HR records, assisting with compliance reviews, and providing day-to-day coordination support for the HR function.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee pre-employment administrative steps, including coordination of required documentation and background-related activities before an employee’s start date.
• Facilitate onboarding workflows within the HRIS, ensuring new employee records are entered accurately and completed on schedule.
• Lead new employee orientation sessions and help new team members understand initial processes, policies, and required paperwork.
• Update and monitor onboarding logs to keep status information current and easy for the HR team to track.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain personnel files with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
• Support internal HR compliance reviews by gathering records, checking documentation, and helping resolve file discrepancies.
• Provide broad administrative assistance to the HR department, including scheduling, document preparation, and follow-up communication.
• Partner with team members during transition and cross-training periods to help ensure continuity of onboarding and HR coordination tasks.• At least 2 years of experience in human resources coordination, onboarding, or HR administration.
• Hands-on experience managing pre-employment steps such as documentation collection, hiring workflows, or pre-employment screening coordination.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms, including experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Ability to support HR audits and maintain organized, compliant employee records.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with tracking spreadsheets and training databases.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fully onsite environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with new hires and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
