Job Description

In this contract position, you'll work 2-3 days per week, delivering high-quality, on-site therapy services that help children thrive academically and socially. The setting is an engaging environment where collaboration and student progress are at the heart of every day. If you're bilingual in Spanish, that's a significant plus, though not required. If you're a COTA, supervision by an experienced OT is available, ensuring you have the support you need to succeed.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with eligibility to practice in the state
- Experience providing school-based OT services, ideally with K-5 populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable, but not mandatory
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Comfort working exclusively on-site 2-3 days per week
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted OT services to K-8 students, focusing on enhancing participation and independence in the school environment
- Assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary problem-solving
- Maintain detailed, compliant records and advocate for best-practice supports
