Special Education Teacher | Tempe, Arizona

There are three positions available: one for a resource setting and two for traditional classroom environments. All roles offer 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher (state credentials required)
• Experience working in either resource or traditional special education classroom settings
• Comfortable developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and instructional strategies
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students individually or in small groups, adapting lessons as needed
• Develop, review, and revise IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Track and assess student progress, modifying interventions and goals as appropriate
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment conducive to growth and learning
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with legal and district guidelines
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
• Engage actively in professional development and school initiatives
