Job Description
Step into a pivotal role supporting student communication and learning as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for a contract assignment from September 4, 2026, to December 11, 2026. This onsite position centers on providing vital services across elementary and middle school caseloads, contributing to students’ growth during a key period. The role spans five days a week, totaling 37.5 hours weekly, and provides the chance to work closely with a dynamic, collaborative educational team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current, active Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license (required)
- SLP-CCC credential and experience working in school settings
- Solid understanding of assessment, intervention, and documentation processes for a pediatric population
- Prior experience with elementary and middle school students highly valued
- Committed, adaptable approach to meeting a diverse range of student needs
- Must be available for onsite services; remote or virtual options are not available for this assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and social communication challenges
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and re-evaluations, and interpret results for educational teams and families
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student IEP goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional recommendations and progress updates
