Physical Therapist - School Setting in Escondido, CA
Job Description

This opportunity is suited for a skilled Physical Therapist interested in working with a diverse student population for the full school year. Based on the needs of the school, you'll provide expert physical therapy services 1-2 days a week (10-12 hours total), helping students reach their fullest potential in a supportive educational environment. Caseload will be determined according to student requirements.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid California Physical Therapist licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation
Responsibilities:
- Assess students referred for physical therapy and develop targeted intervention plans
- Lead direct therapy sessions focused on mobility, motor skills, and functional independence
- Collaborate with educators and multi-disciplinary teams to support individualized educational goals
- Document student progress and adjust therapy according to evolving needs
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and physical accessibility where required
- Communicate effectively with caregivers, teachers, and administration regarding therapy outcomes
