Physical Therapist - School Setting in Escondido, CA

Based on the needs of the school, you'll provide expert physical therapy services 1-2 days a week (10-12 hours total), helping students reach their fullest potential in a supportive educational environment. Caseload will be determined according to student requirements.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid California Physical Therapist licensure
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation

Responsibilities:

• Assess students referred for physical therapy and develop targeted intervention plans
• Lead direct therapy sessions focused on mobility, motor skills, and functional independence
• Collaborate with educators and multi-disciplinary teams to support individualized educational goals
• Document student progress and adjust therapy according to evolving needs
• Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and physical accessibility where required
• Communicate effectively with caregivers, teachers, and administration regarding therapy outcomes
