We are looking for an IT Security Analyst to strengthen and support the organization’s security posture within a regulated financial services environment in McAllen, Texas. This role focuses on protecting systems, managing risk, supporting compliance obligations, and improving day-to-day security operations across critical technology platforms. The ideal candidate brings practical cybersecurity experience, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly while working across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor security events, investigate potential threats, and coordinate timely response activities to reduce operational risk.
• Administer identity and access controls, including user provisioning, access reviews, privileged account oversight, and authentication security measures.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, track remediation efforts, and help ensure issues are resolved within established risk-based timeframes.
• Support internal and external audits by gathering evidence, validating controls, and assisting with remediation of identified gaps.
• Maintain and enhance security monitoring capabilities across key systems to improve detection coverage and incident visibility.
• Contribute to risk assessments, policy alignment, and governance activities that support regulatory and security framework requirements.
• Prepare and maintain operational security metrics, dashboards, and reports for leadership, audit, and compliance needs.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen processes, improve security effectiveness, and promote continuous improvement initiatives.• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity operations, or a closely related IT security role.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring platforms, SIEM tools, vulnerability management solutions, and related security technologies.
• Working knowledge of regulatory and control requirements relevant to financial services, privacy, and information security programs.
• Understanding of identity and access management concepts, including MFA, single sign-on, directory services, and privileged access controls.
• Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance practices, including audit support, control validation, and risk assessment activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or comparable credentials are preferred.
