School-Based Physical Therapist - Carrollton, Texas

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting student development as a Physical Therapist for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This opportunity is based near the Argyle/Flower Mound, TX area, offering a friendly environment to work collaboratively with school staff and young learners. With a weekly schedule of 20 hours, you'll have the chance to focus on quality care and meaningful progress for a manageable caseload of 12-15 elementary school students.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Texas
• Prior experience as a PT in educational or pediatric settings
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and their implementation
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet each student's unique needs
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
• Proficiency in documentation and progress reporting

Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled physical therapy services to elementary-aged students in accordance with their IEPs
• Assess students’ motor skills, functional mobility, and developmental needs within the school environment
• Set and implement goals to help students improve movement, balance, and independence
• Consult and communicate regularly with teachers, aides, and families regarding student needs and progress
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights on student abilities and recommended accommodations
• Maintain accurate records of interventions, progress, and outcomes in line with school guidelines
