Make a genuine impact supporting K-8th grade students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a part-time contract basis. Highlights of the Position:

  • Part-time schedule: 20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Service delivery to students in K-8th grade
  • Assignment extends through May 21, 2027, providing long-term stability
  • Worksite located conveniently within commuting distance of Garland, TX
  • Start date is as soon as possible

Qualifications:

  • Valid, active SLPA license in the state of Texas
  • Experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with children and educational teams
  • Commitment to supporting student development and individualized goals

Your role will include:

  • Delivering direct and indirect speech-language services according to students’ IEPs, under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborating with special education staff and teachers to support student needs
  • Engaging students with evidence-based interventions and therapy activities
  • No responsibilities for supervision during non-therapy times such as bus duty or parent pickup
