Job Description
Step into a vital role supporting K-12 students across multiple school locations as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic, contract-based position. This full-time opportunity runs from August 18, 2025, through June 10, 2026, offering a fulfilling experience making a difference in young learners' communication skills. You'll collaborate with educators and families to support individualized education plans and provide virtual (voco) therapy services, helping a diverse student population reach their potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience delivering school-based speech therapy, including with varied age groups (K-12)
- Familiarity with virtual/teletherapy (voco) platforms or willingness to learn
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students across multiple schools
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress updates
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Utilize teletherapy tools to connect with and support students remotely as required
- Communicate with families, caregivers, and staff to ensure coordinated student support across settings
