Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as an Intervention Specialist supporting students with diverse learning needs in an engaging, collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in-person with caseloads crossing Pre-K to Kindergarten and Grades 5–8. The assignment begins immediately and continues through June 1, 2027, providing valuable experience and growth in an inclusive educational setting. The work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, for 40 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- State certification as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with students with various disabilities, including both early childhood and middle school populations
- Knowledge of implementing, monitoring, and updating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the unique needs of each student
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized, differentiated instruction tailored to students’ individual learning requirements
- Monitor student progress, gathering data and adapting interventions to maximize student success
- Communicate effectively with general education teachers, related service teams, and families
- Develop and maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with special education regulations
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and insight for student planning
