School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Clarkston, Michigan
Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract role serving students across a variety of educational settings as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. With an anticipated start in late August, this full-time position runs through the academic year, allowing you to make a meaningful impact within an inclusive, multi-site environment. You'll provide essential speech and language services to a diverse caseload of approximately 65–70 students, ranging from elementary to secondary levels, including support for both in-person and virtual programs, as well as a private school serviced by the district.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP credentials (or eligibility)
- Experience or strong interest in working with K–12 students with a range of disabilities
- Flexibility to travel between four district-wide sites and adapt to varying student needs and educational settings
- Demonstrated proficiency with initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and drop-in speech/language support
- Collaborative mindset, with confidence participating in IEP meetings and working alongside multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to K–12 students across multiple campus locations
- Conduct comprehensive initial and follow-up evaluations
- Provide both scheduled and drop-in services tailored to individual student needs
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise toward optimal outcomes
- Support students enrolled in general education, special education, and district-operated virtual programs
