Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ growth as a part-time physical therapist working with middle and high schoolers. This contract opportunity is located in a vibrant community near Flushing, NY, and is designed for dedicated professionals committed to empowering students through individualized physical therapy.
As a valued school-based provider, you’ll partner closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and implement interventions that help students meet their educational and physical goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering student independence and promoting participation in the school environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) License in New York
- PT Certification required
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management abilities
- Passion for working with middle and high school students of diverse backgrounds
Role Details:
- Contract position for the 2026-2027 school year (September 2, 2026–June 25, 2027)
- Part-time hours: Approximately 15 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime school hours
- Focus on serving middle and high school students with varying needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment
