Pharmacist in Bayfield, WI

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support pharmaceutical care at a 50-bed hospital located in Northern Wisconsin. This contract role offers a challenging and rewarding environment to apply and expand your pharmacy expertise in a supportive healthcare setting.

Location:

• Bayfield, WI (Northern Wisconsin)

Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation

Duration:

• 13 weeks plus
• ASAP start

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders for appropriateness including therapy, dosing, regimen, and possible drug interactions
• Provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing support
• Deliver clinical pharmaceutical care by participating in medication reconciliation and educating patients on discharge medications
• Oversee pharmaceutical compounding operations in compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for documentation and clinical review

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials
• Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and hospital pharmacy operations
• Experience in pharmacokinetic dosing and anticoagulation management
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical compounding regulations and USP guidelines
• Comfortable working within EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
• Ability to manage workload effectively during extended shifts and rotations
