Job Description

This is a contract position for a dedicated professional ready to support a caseload of 14 students. The position is full-time and allows you to make a meaningful difference while collaborating with supportive colleagues.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
- Experience teaching at the high school level preferred
- Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management skills and adaptability
- Comfort teaching in both general education and self-contained classrooms
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, adapt, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain clear and open communication with families and staff regarding student progress
- Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations
