Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide crucial support at a local school for a maternity leave coverage. This contract role is perfect for those passionate about making a difference in pediatric populations while gaining valuable school-based experience. Ideal candidates will bring experience with pediatric speech therapy in educational or healthcare environments and feel comfortable with both in-person and teletherapy models. New graduates and those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are also encouraged to apply. You will play a vital role in supporting students’ communication needs, collaborating with educators, and helping ensure continuity of care during the leave period.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in a school or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and goal writing
- Eligible Clinical Fellows (CFY) welcome; supervision provided
- Comfortable providing both onsite and teletherapy services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions
- Document and track student progress according to school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support ongoing communication needs during the assigned leave coverage
