Special Education Teacher | Toney, Alabama

You'll play a key role in supporting a focused caseload, primarily working with students in an 01 Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and four students in an 03 LRE setting.

Qualifications:

• Active AL SPED teaching certification required
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Passion for promoting student growth and inclusion

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to a caseload of primarily 2nd and 3rd grade students, adapting plans for both 01 and 03 LRE settings
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for all assigned students
• Track and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Facilitate communication with parents and the interdisciplinary team to support student success
• Maintain all necessary records and documentation in compliance with local and state guidelines
