Special Education Teacher in Goodyear, AZ

An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers eager to support students in K-3 resource classrooms. This long-term contract role runs through May 20, 2027, and offers the chance to work with a dedicated caseload of 25-30 students. Located near Goodyear, AZ, the position follows student hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. To succeed in this role, the following qualifications are required:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (license must be current and in hand)
• Current IVP (Identity Verified Prints) fingerprint clearance card on hand
• Experience with K-3 grade levels or resource classroom settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to create and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Collaborative approach to working with teachers, families, and related service providers

Primary responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized instruction and support to K-3 students with diverse learning needs
• Developing and maintaining individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, modifying interventions as needed
• Collaborating with general education staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure students’ academic growth
• Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to all regulatory requirements
