Job Description
Step into a dynamic school-based role dedicated to supporting students’ communication needs throughout the academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to engage with approximately 45 students, making a measurable difference in their growth and success. The position centers on providing Speech-Language Pathology services in the Lonsdale area, with occasional support needed in nearby Montgomery. Expect a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working 40 hours each week across approximately 175 days.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship (CCC certification required)
- Active state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience with school-aged children and educational teams preferred
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse developmental and cultural backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive screening, assessment, and therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized education program (IEP) goals collaboratively with teachers and families
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide consultative services and resources to educators and parents to ensure student success in the classroom
- Participate in workshop sessions beginning August 31 in preparation for the school year, with students returning September 10
- Flexibly cover primary caseload in Lonsdale, with occasional travel to Montgomery as required
