Job Description

This full-time opportunity, beginning August 12, 2026, and running through May 18, 2027, offers a hands-on, dynamic role with a diverse caseload of 20 students. You’ll collaborate closely with faculty, family members, and fellow specialists, delivering exceptional educational support and fostering student growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Alabama K-6th certification in Special Education
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Experience managing a student caseload in a school setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to inclusivity and individualized instruction
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and provide specialized instruction as outlined in student IEPs
- Serve as the primary case manager for approximately 20 students
- Write, update, and monitor progress on IEPs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings with educational teams and families
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers
- Foster a supportive, adaptive classroom environment to maximize student achievement
This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing the opportunity to build continuous relationships and see your impact throughout the school year.
