Current openings include multiple life skills classrooms, with our top priority being an intermediate life skills class of nine students, each supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals. These multi-categorical caseloads ensure a dynamic work experience where your expertise and compassion truly matter.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for Indiana
- Experience or passion for working with students in life skills or multi-categorical classrooms
- Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, administrators, and parents
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction in an intermediate life skills classroom, guiding a group of nine students with varying needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's abilities
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate closely with assigned paraprofessionals to ensure each student receives the attention and support they require
- Communicate regularly with colleagues and families about student progress and needs
- Work full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday through Friday, onsite for the full 26/27 school year (September to June)
