This contract position offers you the chance to work closely with a supportive educational team near Maple City, KS, delivering essential speech and language services to help students achieve their communication goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as an SLP for school-based services
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, though CFs will be considered
- Experience (or strong interest) working in a school environment
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with IEPs, assessments, and evidence-based therapy approaches
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using appropriate tools and protocols
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Participate in the IEP process, including meetings and goal development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with school and district policies
- Offer guidance and resources to teachers and parents to foster carryover of skills into the classroom and home
