Ignite your passion for pediatric occupational therapy by supporting students for the full school year in a part-time, onsite contract near Glorieta, NM. In this rewarding role, you’ll engage directly with students, educators, and families to facilitate meaningful growth in academic and functional skills while working 10-15 hours per week. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain
- Strong pediatric experience, preferably within an educational setting
- Proficient in designing and implementing individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ abilities and needs within the school environment
- Develop and carry out customized therapy plans addressing sensory, motor, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure therapy success in the classroom
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance with school and state guidelines
- Attend eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed, sharing recommendations and outcomes
- Educate staff and parents on strategies to generalize therapy gains throughout the school day
