Key Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona Special Education (SPED) teaching license
• ELA (English Language Arts) certification required
• IVP Fingerprint clearance card (current/valid)
• Prior experience with special education in a resource room, especially at the high school level, is a strong advantage
• Ability to collaborate with general and special education staff
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support in ELA to high school students with varying needs in a resource room setting
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff and families
• Monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans as needed to promote achievement
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate actively in meetings, trainings, and school events as required
