Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) specializing in virtual school-based teletherapy services, running through May 27, 2027. This role involves providing therapy and conducting evaluations for students, with caseloads capped at 60 to ensure quality care and effective outcomes.

Locations for service delivery include a variety of schools operating virtually, with caseloads split across multiple campuses to allow for diverse service provision:

  • Crump Elementary, Children’s Center-Base Campus, Youth Facility, Baldwin Arts & Academics Magnet School
  • Dannelly Elementary-Base School, Bear Elementary, Davis Elementary
  • Flowers Elementary-Base, MacMillan Elementary, LAMP Magnet High School
  • Vaughn Rd. Elementary

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver teletherapy sessions to school-aged clients
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations as required
  • Collaborate with educational staff to tailor therapy plans aligned with student needs
  • Maintain documentation and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Manage caseloads efficiently without exceeding the 60-client maximum
  • Utilize virtual platforms effectively to engage with students and families

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid Alabama ASHA certification is mandatory for consideration
  • Alabama Educator SLP Certification (pending applications accepted)
  • Experience with teletherapy and school-based speech-language services preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage a virtual student population
