Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction to 3rd-grade students in both small group and inclusive classroom settings
• Develop, implement, and monitor student IEPs in line with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to ensure effective inclusion practices
• Utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Communicate regularly with families regarding students’ progress and goals
• Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and professional development sessions
• Provide guidance to paraprofessionals, aligning support with student-specific IEPs
• Maintain accurate records and data tracking as required

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs and elementary curriculum
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning styles and needs
• Comfortable with a mix of pull-out and push-in service delivery

This contract position runs from August 24th to May 28th, with an 8-hour workday plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Paraprofessional support is determined by student IEP needs, allowing for a collaborative environment focused on student success.
