Desired Skills and Experience:
- Active OT license in the state of VA required
- Previous experience as an OT in a school setting strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of school-based assessment and intervention techniques
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Strong time management and adaptability for a school-based schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop and deliver evidence-based OT interventions in small groups and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Monitor, document, and report on student outcomes in compliance with school requirements
- Consult with staff on classroom adaptations and assistive technology
