To succeed in this role, candidates should bring:

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech and Communication Disorders
  • Current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Active PELSB certification
  • Previous experience or enthusiasm for working with K-5 students in a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to foster student success
  • Conduct both individual and group speech therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports and IEP data
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
  • Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team conferences
