This contract position, located near Danbury, offers you the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff, ensuring children of all ages receive the guidance and resources they need to thrive.

As a vital part of the school community, you'll enjoy a consistent 32.5-hour workweek while supporting a dynamic K-12 caseload. Your expertise will help assess student needs, provide interventions, and contribute to the creation of positive school environments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility to obtain certification in Connecticut
  • Demonstrated experience conducting assessments and writing detailed reports
  • Familiarity with K-12 populations and diverse student needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to develop IEPs and behavior intervention plans
  • Provide direct counseling and support services to students individually or in groups
  • Consult with educators and families, offering insights and recommending strategies that support student learning and well-being
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
